Reopening Policies for Clients and Families

Reopening Policies for Clients and Families

  1. All clients and family that choose to return to the physical location of Quest to return to treating clients in the clinic will have no symptoms related to COVID-19
    1. Typical symptoms include: cough, shortness of breath, fever, sudden chills/shaking, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell
    2. Recent symptoms in children have been fever, runny nose, rash, blisters on toes, vomiting and diarrhea, Kawasaki disease like symptoms, and toxic-shock like symptoms

  2. Any client or family member of client that has been exposed to someone with COVID-19 will self-quarantine for 14 days prior to returning to Quest. Please notify the front desk if you or your child has been exposed.

  3. Clients are to text the Quest phone when they arrive and wait until they are notified to come into the clinic or someone comes to the vehicle to get their child.

  4. The waiting room will remain closed. The bathroom will be open for clients to wash their hands but not to the public for use.

  5. Client and caregiver temperatures are taken at the door. A temperature of 100 degrees or higher will be considered a fever and the client will not remain for their session.

  6. All clients and caregivers will be requested to wear a mask of their own. In the event they do not have one, Quest will provide a disposable mask. (exceptions for children under the age of 2)

  7. All clients, caregivers, and staff will wash hands thoroughly upon entry and before leaving Quest.

  8. Therapy sessions will be shorter during this time period to allow for a thorough disinfecting/cleaning of each area between clients.

  9. Please do not leave the parking lot while your child is in therapy. We may need to end early or need your assistance.

  10. All family members will remain 6 feet apart from staff. (unless needed for training purposes)

  11. Only one caregiver is permitted to attend sessions with their child, when necessary. This is not recommended. If a caregiver chooses to attend the session, they will need to sit in a designated chair in each office.  These chairs should remain in their place and not moved.

  12. All clients will remain in their vehicles until a tech or therapist brings them into the building.

  13. Staff should open doors for clients and their family member. We want to limit physical contact with high traffic areas.

  14. Following every session, all surfaces will be wiped down and supplies utilized during session cleaned thoroughly.

  15. Therapists will be available by email if you would like to discuss your child’s session. They will also provide a written summary of your session for assistance with carryover into the home setting. The gym is to be utilized by PT staff only at this time. There will be designated seats for one family member to sit in during their child’s session, if they choose to attend.  These chairs will be placed 6 feet from a mat table.  They are not to be moved.
